In our other “On The Road” match, WSU Spirit Champion Brittney Savage w/Rick Cataldo, representing the Cosmo Club defeated Tina San Antonio on 7/24 at an NYWC event. Savage was able to put Tina San Antonio away in a highly contested match after interference from Rick Cataldo followed up by a diamond cutter.

Tina San Antonio, who got opportunities at both championships this weekend, came up short in both attempts. However, critics & fans have noticed an improvement in her ability. TSA, a rookie, is making strides and making a name for herself. TSA, considered the stronger half of her Belle’s Saints tag team with Marti Belle, held up her own in singles competition.

WSU World Champion Mercedes Martinez told WSUWrestling.com:
“While I was able to defeat Tina this weekend, I see a bright future for this rookie. Winning & losing is not only done in the ring, but it is also done outside the ring. Tina holds her own and respects this business. She has a lot to learn, but seems willing to learn. WSU has always been a place where rookies have been able to get an opportunity. I mean, just look at where Brittney Savage is now. Nobody knew who she was when she debuted two years ago. With hard work, I can see Tina growing in this company.”

Brittney Savage wasn’t as kind:
Who cares about Tina San Antonio? And I don’t want to be questioned about Rick Cataldo’s actions in our match. Tina has alot to learn and if she is going to try to enter the Spirit Championship ranks, she will be eating diamond cutters all day long! Go back to Texas or where ever you came from Tina!”

Women Superstars Uncensored (WSU), the leader in womens wrestling in the United States, following the heels of our “Uncensored Rumble” 3 event, will return on 8/6 with a joint show with our big brother promotion National Wrestling Superstars (NWS).

This will be a show that will feature some of WSU’s newer talent, as WSU wants to give our up and comers a chance to shine. Of course, there will also be several big marquee matches as well taking place. To make things even more exciting, every match on this show will be a FIRST TIME ever match, as WSU continues to stay fresh and present the most interesting matches possible.

Brittnany Force, a Pittsburgh area wrestler, will make her WSU debut on 8/6. When WSU alerted the WSU roster about this new addition, WSU Spirit Champion Brittney Savage went bezerk.

Savage told WSUWrestling.com:

“Where does this b!tch come off? There’s only room for not only one Brittney in WSU, but only one Brittney in wrestling! I don’t care if I have to put up my WSU Spirit Championship on the line against this filth, I am going to end her WSU career before it starts!”

Brittany Force told WSUWrestling.com:

“Brittney Savage, huh? I’ve been taking names and winning matches all over the country while you were dancing around as Brooke Carter. If anything you took my name and on 8/6, I’m taking YOUR championship!”

This should be an interesting first time ever match in WSU.

The new rookie upstart tag team, The Fly Girls, looked impressive in their debut, showing off their high flying and striking abilities. However Rogers & Jana, two WSU veterans, proved too strong and smart, and Jana caught Niya with her Jana-Vice (Front facelock submission) for the tap out win.

This was one of the more heated matches of the evening, as Brittney Savage used Becky’s DWI arrest as a way to get under Becky’s skin. This led to a huge war of words that you need to hear for yourself on DVD. Both girls personal lives were exposed and it wasn’t pretty. Neither was the start of this match as it was a huge pier-6 brawl.

With the Cosmo Club foaming at the mouth at ringside to interfere in this match, the referee kicked them all to the back to ensure this match would be one- on-one. Brittney’s championship run looked like it was in jeopardy, but out of nowhere, she kicked Becky right in the jaw, dazing Bayless. Savage, one to always use shortcuts, grabbed the championship and it looked like she was going to either get herself disqualified or pull a fast one. However the ref grabbed the championship away, before Savage could do damage to Becky’s skull with it. This was just a ploy by the champion. With the ref giving the title to the ring announcer for safekeeping, Savage took a swig of alcohol (that she used to mock Becky with before the match) and spit it in Becky’s face. With Becky temporarily disoriented and blinded, Savage pounced on Becky’s lapse, and picked up the win.

Taping 2: THE UNCENSORED RUMBLE MATCH
This was the most star studded and most important battle royal in womens wrestling history, as the winner of this match would get a WSU World Title match at the next Union City, NJ event. Never has a a battle royal been more important and never has there been so many stories told in one battle royal. The drama in this match was at a fever pitch and WSU fans were all strapped in for this roller coaster ride.

The story of this match saw Angel Orsini draw the number 2 position. The number 1 and number 2 spots in any battle royal match are the worst spots statistically to draw. However, this was to be Angel Orsini’s night, her night to get back to the top, her night to finally be back in the WSU World title picture after a year of not being allowed there because of a contract stipulation. Orsini dominated the rumble, eliminating the most people, tossing 9 people out. Orsini was focused and was a machine. However, it would be her best friend that cost her the match. Here’s the quick recap:

(Note: what was originally supposed to be a 25-woman rumble turned into a 23-woman rumble when Alere Little Feather pulled off of the event due to a personal manner. Also, Becky Bayless had concussion symptoms after her spirit title match and was pulled out of the match for health reasons.)

If WSU fans remember correctly, it was in a bull rope match between Orsini & Martinez at the 2nd Anniversary show where Martinez became WSU World Champion.

The bull rope match was the most important victory in Martinez’s career, as not only did she win the WSU World Title in that match, it was that match that propelled her to being the best women’s wrestler in the world today. Ever since 3/7/09, when Martinez won the WSU World Championship, Martinez has never been beaten in singles competition. It was the bull rope match that took Martinez to the next level of her career.

However, Martinez has had a lot on her plate recently. She has to worry about Alicia. Could this bull rope match propel Savage’s career the same way it did for Mercedes 16 months ago? Or will WSU and NYWC fans get what they want – Martinez unleashing all unholy hell on the loud-mouthed Brittney Savage!?! We’ll find out on Saturday night at “Straight Outta Hollis”.
